Jiwu wang, phd
Dr. Wang is the Founder, President and CEO of Allele Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals Inc. and the Scintillon Institute for Biomedical and Bioenergy Research. He has been an active researcher in the RNA field for over 20 years with significant contributions to the understanding of RNA-related cellular processes, such as pre-mRNA splicing, RNA interference (RNAi), microRNA (miRNA) in developmental control, and mRNA as a platform for transgenes. His research is the foundation for Allele Biotechnology’s cellular reprogramming platform. Dr. Wang obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Peking University and earned his Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California.
Mahendra Rao, MD, phd
Dr. Rao is the founder and CSO of Q Therapeutics and the current Chairman of the iPSC Banking Scientific Advisory Board. He is renowned for research and leadership in the stem cell field where he has been active for over twenty years. Throughout the years Dr. Rao has held a number a high level positions in the field of regenerative medicine, highlights include: (founding) Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Center of Regenerative Medicine, Chief of Neuroscience at National Institute of Aging; VP of Regenerative Medicine at Life Technologies and VP of Regenerative Medicine at New York Stem Cell Foundation. Dr. Rao received his M.D. degree (MBBS) from Bombay University in India and his Ph.D. degree in Developmental Neurobiology from the California Institute of Technology.
Robert Beardall, md, mph
Dr. Beardall is the Managing Director of Health Synectics LTD and a Non-Executive Director at the Mersey Care NHS Trust. He has an extensive medical and leadership background with over 25 years of experience in clinical preventive medicine and population health management as well as health informatics and analytics, clinical transformation and quality improvement. Previously, Dr. Beardall was the VP of clinical strategy and Chief Medical Officer at NantHealth, and served as the personal physician to two successive Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral William Crowe Jr., and General Colin Powell. Dr. Beardall received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
Gene Yeo, phd
Dr. Yeo is a Full Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore, and the Co-Founder and CEO of Locana Biotechnologies. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and review articles in the areas of neurodegeneration, RNA processing, computational biology and stem cell models. Dr. Yeo obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, earned a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego.
